Core Values

Our Core Values are built on Jesus Christ, represented by the cross being in the center.  It is the center we build our values from.  Each core value is represented in our school crest. (picture of crest)

Faith is represented by the Bible.

If we are rooted in Jesus, then when we open the Word of God and seek to grow in faith, everything we do is blessed. “So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.” (Romans 10:17).  “But we do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but to those who have faith and are saved.” (Hebrews 10:39)

Character is represented by the State of Texas.

To paraphrase Theodore Roosevelt, “to educate a man in mind, not morals, is to make a menace to society.”  We believe the honoring of authority and learning Godly morals does not limit our intelligence, but expands our opportunities.  By emphasizing the fruit of the Spirit (Galations 5:22-23), we build a stronger community.

Scholastics are represented by the column.

Pre-K focus is classical education.  Using classical education as a model, teaching is themed to create association in the brain, helping young learners to begin thinking in a creative way.

Kinder-6th Grade is mastery learning focused.  This means the students are always building on what they have learned.  By doing repetitive skills, the brain begins to respond reflexively to problems and questions.

7-12th Grade are a blend of mastery and classical education which means they have a good foundation of knowledge and can learn to have original thoughts when presented with new information. Classical learning involves lecture and discussion and teaches students to think creatively, yet still be structured.

Health is represented by the ram, our school mascot.

We encourage activity, PE, sports, free time, playtime, fun, and school spirit.  The joy of the Lord is our strength (Nehemiah 8:10b), and science suggests that physical activity has benefits not just for the body, but for the mind.
