Campus Custodian

Job Description

Hill Country Christian School seeks a driven and self-motivated individual with a heart for children and the Christian community.  This position maintains sanitary controls and performs daily custodial duties.   Under the supervision of the department lead, this person will maintain the assigned areas on campus as directed.  

Duties & Responsibilities

-Maintain sanitary standards for assigned areas which may include: Classrooms, Offices, Bathrooms, Gym, Locker Rooms, Closets, Storage Areas, Outdoor walkways, Hallways, Stairways, Cafeteria

-Implement and utilize safety procedures during use of cleaning agents, heavy machinery, and other cleaning tools and equipment

-Establish cleaning procedures to maintain a safe school campus for employees, students and parents.

-Conduct regular rounds of inspection during school hours for spills, maintenance issues, full receptacles, and other cleaning hazards.

-Sweep and Mop all assigned areas by your lead

-Perform regular checks of inventory and communicate needs to lead custodian

-Utilize cleaning and sanitary products with cost efficiency

-Establish professional communication with teachers, students, parents and co-workers.

-Perform regular deep cleaning on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly basis

Qualifications & Skills

-1 year related work experience

-High School diploma or equivalent, preferred

-Must pass a background check

-Kind and respectful attitude

-Team player and motivated

-able to work under minimal supervision

-honest and hard working

Starting Rate: $15.00/hr
